What our customers say:

Great food and dining options

Was taken here by a friend after visiting the castle. The service was fast, there were restaurant and casual dining options. The food was nice and the servings plentiful. The staff were very pleasant and willing to oblige.

Totally loved this place! The food was AAAmazing!! Loved the frozen grape idea! The chef sure does know what he is doing… Keep up the high standard of food and I’ll keep returning. Nice one!!

Superb breakfasts

We were recently in Colchester and popped into Mussis for breakfast. The whole breakfast was great & the scrabbled egg was particularly nice. Highly recommended. Lovely view of Colchester Castle from the courtyard area.

Delightful town centre restaurant.

In a narrow side street between the High Street and the Castle, this restaurant has charm and character. Good, modern-style cuisine at sensible prices. Good and inexpensive special lunchtime menu. Attentive, but not fussy, service. Modern style of cuisine, well presented, and with sensible portion sizes. We go frequently. Very nice in the evening. But also equally good at the end of a morning’s site-seeing or shopping.
